Oman
As part of its mission to enhance technical capabilities in the water and wastewater sector across the region, WEE Pros successfully conducted a specialized training program mid September 2025 in Oman, titled “Fundamentals of Wastewater Treatment Plants” in Muscat, Oman. The training brought together a diverse group of engineers, technicians, and water sector professionals from local authorities and utility companies.
The week-long training provided participants with both theoretical knowledge and practical tools to improve the design, operation, and maintenance of wastewater treatment plants. Delivered by senior experts in the field, the program covered a range of essential topics, including:
Wastewater characteristics and treatment objectives
Biological treatment processes (including activated sludge systems)
Sludge treatment and disposal options
Process control and troubleshooting techniques
Energy efficiency and sustainability practices in treatment facilities
Through detailed lectures, case studies, and group exercises, participants were guided to better understand how to optimize plant performance, ensure regulatory compliance, and apply modern treatment technologies in the Omani context.
This training is part of WEE Pros' ongoing regional efforts to support knowledge transfer and capacity development in the environmental infrastructure sector, aligned with sustainable development goals and national visions for water security.
